Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that the Somnath Temple represents India’s enduring Sanatan consciousness and national pride. Speaking at the state-level Somnath Swabhiman Parva in Kurukshetra, he highlighted the temple’s role in inspiring the nation through its rich history. The ongoing 75-year celebrations of the temple signify India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
During the event, the Chief Minister and dignitaries witnessed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation and prayers at the Somnath Temple. The sacredness of the occasion was enhanced by the location at the confluence of the Arunai and Saraswati rivers. The Sangameshwar Temple stands as a testament to India’s spiritual legacy and divine connections.
Extending his wishes for the Somnath Swabhiman Parva, the Chief Minister mentioned that the celebrations began on January 11 and will continue until 2027. He announced a special pilgrimage train for devotees from Haryana under the ‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana’. The Chief Minister praised Prime Minister Modi’s efforts in promoting India’s spiritual and cultural heritage globally.
The construction of the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya and the reverence for Lord Ram across the nation were highlighted as symbols of India’s cultural resurgence. The Chief Minister commended the unity and devotion shown by people from Kashmir to Kanyakumari towards Lord Ram, reflecting a shared cultural pride.
