Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini assured that all input from the public and lawmakers would be taken seriously to craft a budget instilling trust and hope in every Haryana resident. Saini highlighted the significant role of artificial intelligence (AI) in formulating the 2026-27 budget. An AI-based app launched for pre-budget consultations has already garnered over 9,000 suggestions, with the Chief Minister emphasizing the incorporation of valuable feedback into the budget, similar to the previous year.
Addressing a pre-budget consultation meeting on the Haryana Vision 2047 Action Plan in Panchkula, Saini engaged with ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), and legislative Assembly members. Various detailed suggestions concerning the budget were put forth by Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha MPs, MLAs, and ministers during the meeting. Citizens are encouraged to submit suggestions through the portal until January 31, with the assurance that these inputs will be duly considered.
The series of pre-budget consultation meetings, which commenced on January 6 in Gurugram, has concluded its final phase. A total of 12 meetings have been conducted, engaging approximately 1,597 stakeholders and yielding 1,513 suggestions. These sessions encompassed discussions with representatives from diverse sectors such as industry, education, women’s groups, health, agriculture, local governance bodies, youth, and various organizations.
This upcoming budget is not merely the government’s budget but is envisioned as the budget of Haryana’s 2.80 crore citizens. Described as a document of aspirations rather than just numbers, it aims to bridge current needs with future aspirations effectively. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and with the collaboration of public representatives and the people’s trust, the vision of Viksit Bharat-Viksit Haryana 2047 is poised for realization.
