Hockey India has praised defender Jarmanpreet Singh for achieving the milestone of 150 international caps for India. Hailing from Rajdhan village in Punjab, Jarmanpreet is recognized as a reliable defender known for his calmness and game awareness. He debuted in senior international hockey during the Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy in 2018 and played a crucial role in India’s bronze medal win at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Jarmanpreet has been a key player in India’s hockey successes, contributing to victories like the Men’s Asian Champions Trophy in Oman and Bangladesh. Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey commended Jarmanpreet’s dedication and consistent performance, emphasizing his importance in bringing stability to the team’s defense. Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh also lauded Jarmanpreet’s journey, highlighting his significant role in India’s recent achievements.

India faced initial setbacks in the FIH Pro League in Hobart, losing to Spain and Australia. Despite the tough start, Jarmanpreet’s milestone adds a positive note to Indian hockey’s journey, with hopes for more remarkable performances in the future.
