Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and television queen Ektaa Kapoor are teaming up for the movie ‘Heer Ranjha’, following the success of ‘Laila Majnu’. Ali described the film as a blend of modern love language and timeless essence. The upcoming project is a continuation of the ‘Laila Majnu’ franchise, known for its deep connection with audiences.

Imtiaz Ali expressed that ‘Heer Ranjha’ embodies a unique world and rhythm, resonating with contemporary love while staying true to eternal themes. The film, directed by Sajid Ali, reinterprets classic romance for today’s audience, promising a rich cinematic experience. Ektaa Kapoor praised the filmmakers’ ability to authentically capture love, aiming for ‘Heer Ranjha’ to transcend time and emotions.

The duo’s previous collaboration, ‘Laila Majnu’, initially overlooked in theaters, later gained a cult following. ‘Heer Ranjha’, presented by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, and Preety Ali, continues the legacy of iconic romantic tales.
