Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw recently highlighted a significant opportunity for India in the global semiconductor industry. He noted a shortage of nearly one million skilled professionals in the sector, which is currently valued at around $800 billion and is projected to surpass $1 trillion soon. Vaishnaw also pointed out that by 2032, the semiconductor sector is expected to create approximately one million jobs globally, underscoring the need for skilled talent in the industry.
