India secured two bronze medals at the Asia Cup Archery Stage I tournament held in Bangkok. The Indian women’s recurve team, comprising Ruma Biswas, Kirti, and Ridhi, clinched a 5-1 victory over Malaysia to claim their spot on the podium. In the compound men’s team event, Rajat Chauhan, Uday Kamboj, and Rishabh Yadav narrowly defeated Bhutan 234-232 in a closely contested playoff.
India’s strong performance continued with the men’s compound team leading the qualification stage with 2126 points. Rajat Chauhan, Rishabh Yadav, and Uday Kamboj showcased their skills, highlighting India’s depth in the discipline. The country remains a strong contender for more medals in the upcoming mixed team competitions across various categories.
India has further assured podium finishes with the women’s compound team and the men’s recurve team advancing to the gold medal matches against Kazakhstan. Notably, Tejal Rajendra Salve will compete for bronze in the women’s compound category, while an all-Indian final is set in the men’s compound event. The Indian contingent, consisting of eight men and eight women, continues to demonstrate the nation’s prowess in archery on the global stage.
