The Indian Army and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) carried out Phase-II of the joint firing exercise ‘Agni Pariksha’ in Arunachal Pradesh. The exercise, held in Tezu from January 25 to 28, aimed at improving inter-force coordination and combat readiness. Spearhead gunners of Spear Corps, along with personnel from Artillery regiment, infantry battalions, and the ITBP, participated in this collaborative training initiative.
The exercise focused on enhancing combat synergy and operational preparedness. It involved familiarizing non-gunner personnel with artillery procedures and the execution of various firing missions. Infantry and ITBP troops underwent training to independently conduct multiple artillery firing drills under the guidance of experienced gunners, enhancing their understanding of firepower integration in battlefield scenarios.
The joint training exercise ‘Agni Pariksha’ underscored the commitment of the Indian Army to jointmanship, interoperability, and realistic training. It emphasized the importance of evolving, innovating, and strengthening inter-agency cooperation to effectively tackle emerging operational challenges. The exercise aimed at enhancing mutual trust, coordination, and responsiveness among the participating forces, thereby improving joint operational integration and coordination.
