Chief of Army Staff Upendra Dwivedi has been honored with induction into the International Hall of Fame at the Army War College (AWC), Carlisle Barracks, United States, recognizing his military career and leadership. He is the third Indian Army Chief to receive this prestigious recognition, following General V.K. Singh and General Bikram Singh. The Indian Army shared that General Dwivedi visited the AWC, where he interacted with faculty and international student officers, discussing leadership, military education, and security dynamics.
During his visit, General Dwivedi engaged with faculty and international officers, delivering lectures on leadership, military education, and global security challenges. As a Distinguished Fellow of the USAWC and an alumnus of the institution, he also toured key facilities and participated in academic discussions. India’s Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, hosted General Dwivedi at India House, emphasizing the importance of high-level military exchanges between India and the US.
The Indian Embassy highlighted that defense cooperation is a crucial aspect of the India-US comprehensive global strategic partnership. General Dwivedi’s engagements are expected to bolster bilateral ties and support a shared vision for a free, open, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region. During his visit to the US Army Pacific, General Dwivedi received a formal Guard of Honour at Fort Shafter in Hawaii and held discussions with senior US military officials, focusing on enhancing defense cooperation and advancing shared strategic priorities in the Indo-Pacific.
