The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia recently held a blood donation camp in collaboration with the Central Blood Bank in Riyadh. Counsellor Shri Sharique Badr inaugurated the event organized by the Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC). The Embassy highlighted the significant turnout from the Indian community, making the initiative a success.
The Embassy of India actively supports social and humanitarian efforts by community organizations. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reports that the Indian community in Saudi Arabia, numbering around 2.74 million, plays a crucial role in connecting the two nations. Their contributions to Saudi Arabia’s development are widely recognized.
In a separate event, the Embassy of India in Kuwait conducted a blood donation camp at the Adan Hospital and Blood Bank to mark World Blood Donor Day. The camp, inaugurated by Ambassador Paramita Tripathi and Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, witnessed a strong response from the Indian community. Ambassador Tripathi expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing the spirit of compassion and friendship between India and Kuwait.
