India’s Minister of State of External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh recently engaged in discussions with Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the International Migration Review Forum. Singh, attending the event in New York, also hosted a reception at India’s UN mission for delegates and highlighted India’s commitment to combating terrorism. During the forum, Singh held bilateral meetings with various leaders, including officials from the Philippines and Ecuador, focusing on issues of mutual interest and cooperation.
Singh’s interactions extended to the European Union, where he met with Migration Commissioner Magnus Brunner to review the India-EU comprehensive framework on mobility cooperation. Additionally, discussions with the Netherlands Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Asylum and Migration, Bart Van Den Brink, emphasized collaboration opportunities. Singh’s active participation in these meetings underscores India’s dedication to addressing global migration challenges and fostering international partnerships.
