Indian Naval Ship Airavat has docked in Colombo for an operational turnaround, strengthening the maritime ties between India and Sri Lanka. The ship, under Commander IP Patil, was warmly welcomed by the Sri Lankan Navy at the Port of Colombo. During its visit, the crew will engage in various professional activities and cultural exchanges organized by the Sri Lanka Navy.
The Sri Lankan Navy expressed their pleasure in hosting the Indian naval personnel and mentioned that the crew will also explore key tourist sites in Sri Lanka. In a recent event, Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, visited Sri Lanka to bolster defense cooperation and military engagement between the two nations. The visit included meetings with top Sri Lankan defense officials and paying respects to the Indian Peace Keeping Force Monument in Battaramulla.
