India’s assistant coach, Ryan ten Doeschate, expressed pride in his national team’s advancement while affirming his allegiance to defending champions India. In the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 match against the Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Doeschate will strategize against his former team for the first time. Having joined as assistant coach in July 2024, he highlighted the Netherlands’ growth and his deep connection with the Indian squad.

Doeschate, in a video shared on BCCI’s website, reflected on his time with the Dutch team and the significance of representing both nations. He acknowledged the Dutch team’s development since his tenure and emphasized his current dedication to the Indian team. Praising the Indian players’ bravery and exceptional skills, Doeschate expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with such a talented group.

The Dutch coach commended the courage and pride displayed by the Indian cricket team, essential qualities for performing at a high level. He appreciated the camaraderie within the team, emphasizing the importance of building connections with diverse individuals. Doeschate highlighted the support he receives from the team, which aids him in handling pressure and contributes to his overall enjoyment of the coaching journey.
