Iran’s main military command, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, has announced the cessation of Iranian armed forces’ operations against Israel. The headquarters warned of a severe response to any further Israeli aggression, particularly in southern Lebanon. President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s commitment to national security and peace, stating that diplomacy and defense are crucial components of national power.
The Iranian armed forces’ actions were in support of the Lebanese people following Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon and Beirut’s Dahieh district. Accusing the United States of supporting Israeli operations, the headquarters emphasized that Israel should have learned from Iran’s response. Israel reportedly stopped its strikes on Iran at the request of US President Donald Trump.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched ballistic missiles at Israeli air bases in response to perceived Israeli crimes in southern Lebanon. The IRGC continued its attacks by targeting additional Israeli air bases and industries. In retaliation, the Israeli military conducted airstrikes on Iranian targets, including a petrochemical company in Khuzestan province.
An Iranian military source expressed readiness for a prolonged conflict with Israel and to strike at US interests. The situation remains tense, with both sides engaging in military actions and threats.
