Late actor Irrfan Khan’s wife, Sutapa Sikdar, marked International Women’s Day by celebrating the significant men in her life, including her late husband and their son, Babil Khan. She shared a video montage on social media, showcasing unseen moments with Irrfan, Babil, and other supportive men from her friends and family circle. The montage featured candid photos of Irrfan and Sutapa together, along with joyful moments of Sutapa with Babil and other loved ones.
Sutapa chose the Bengali song “Aaha Tomar Shonge” as the background music, adding a warm and nostalgic touch to the tribute. In her post, she expressed gratitude towards the men who supported her and made her believe in herself. Irrfan Khan passed away on April 29, 2020, at the age of 53, after battling a rare form of cancer, leaving behind a legacy in the film industry.
Sutapa Sikdar, a writer and producer, had been Irrfan’s partner for many years, having met at the National School of Drama and marrying in 1995. The couple shares two sons, Babil and Ayan. Babil Khan, their elder son, has ventured into the film industry, making his debut in the 2022 Netflix film “Qala” alongside Triptii Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee.
