Veteran Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff honored the late filmmaker-actor Manoj Kumar on his death anniversary, recalling him as the iconic ‘Bharat Kumar’ of Indian cinema. Taking to Instagram, Jackie shared a sepia-toned picture of Manoj Kumar, known for his roles in patriotism-themed movies.
In his tribute, Jackie expressed, “Always in our hearts. Remembering Manoj Kumar Ji on his death anniversary.” Manoj Kumar, who debuted in 1957 with Fashion, gained fame with films like Hariyali Aur Rasta and Woh Kaun Thi? during his four-decade-long career.
Manoj Kumar, who starred in 55 films, passed away last year at 87 due to heart-related issues, with liver cirrhosis as a contributing factor. On the other hand, Jackie Shroff is currently part of the romantic comedy film “Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri” and is set to appear in Ahmed Khan’s upcoming comedy “Welcome To The Jungle” alongside a star-studded cast.
