Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has unveiled the prospectus for the Academic Session 2026–27, presenting 30 new programs without any fee increase. The 150-page prospectus, launched by Vice Chancellor Mazhar Asif, covers guidelines for admissions to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs. It includes details on eligibility criteria, application links, entrance exams, admit cards, syllabi, and course fee structures.
The Controller of Examinations at JMI highlighted the addition of 30 new programs for the upcoming academic session, emphasizing the institution’s academic growth. Notably, there has been no rise in course fees for the 2026–27 academic year. Following the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, admissions for Four-Year Undergraduate Programs (FYUP) will begin under the Multiple Entry Mode, offering students increased flexibility.
To enhance accessibility nationwide, JMI has expanded its network of entrance test centers, now covering the entire country. This expansion includes the addition of three new test centers in Jaipur, Dehradun, and Kishanganj, bringing the total number of centers to 11. Existing test centers encompass cities like Delhi, Lucknow, and Kolkata, among others.
Congratulating the Prospectus Committee and the Controller of Examinations on the timely release, VC JMI, Prof. Asif, expressed satisfaction with the introduction of 30 new programs aligned with NEP 2020 guidelines. The institution’s commitment to not increasing course fees and the expansion to 11 test centers aim to facilitate students from all regions of India.
The new programs introduced by JMI for the academic session include a range of disciplines such as language studies, engineering, law, and biotechnology. These additions reflect the institution’s dedication to offering diverse educational opportunities to students pursuing various fields of study.
