A woman in Bidadi town, Karnataka, stabbed her male friend after he declined to marry her, as per reports from Ramanagara district. The accused, identified as 30-year-old Sudha, allegedly attacked 27-year-old Venugopal due to his rejection. The incident occurred on Thursday night, leading to Venugopal sustaining serious stab wounds to his chest, abdomen, and hands.
The Bidadi police station has registered a case in connection with the incident. Investigations revealed that Sudha became furious when Venugopal started avoiding her and rejected her marriage proposal. Venugopal, a gym trainer in Bidadi, and Sudha, an employee at a private company, had been in a relationship for about a year after meeting at the gym. However, their relationship soured over the past four months when Venugopal distanced himself from Sudha and disclosed his intention not to marry her.
Allegedly, Sudha discovered that Venugopal was involved with another woman, triggering her anger and prompting her to carry out the attack. Sudha, determined to harm Venugopal, had reportedly kept a knife in her bag for a week, waiting for the right moment. She contacted Venugopal on Thursday night, lured him out of his house, and then stabbed him unexpectedly with the knife. Despite collapsing at the scene, Venugopal managed to call for help, and he was swiftly taken to a local hospital by his family and friends.
Sudha has been taken into police custody for questioning as the investigation continues. More details are anticipated as the authorities delve further into the matter.
