Hollywood actress Julia Garner has been cast to lead the series based on Mikita Brottman’s true crime book ‘Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida.’ Craig Gillespie will direct and executive produce the series, which explores a passionate yet murderous relationship between two young lovers over 18 years.
The show’s logline delves into the complexities of the couple’s lives and the emotional aftermath of their criminal actions. Sarah DeLappe will be the writer and executive producer, while Stuart Zicherman takes on the roles of showrunner and executive producer. Julia Garner will not only star but also executive produce through Alma Margo.
Known for her role in ‘Ozark,’ where she won multiple awards, Garner’s upcoming projects include the Netflix limited series ‘The Altruists.’ The series will follow the story of Caroline Ellison in the context of the rise and fall of FTX. Zicherman, on the other hand, has a background in developing TV series like ‘American Sports Story’ and working on shows such as ‘The Shrink Next Door.’
