AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal and Leader of the Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan have praised the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, calling it a win for students. Venugopal, in Alappuzha, emphasized that Pradhan’s resignation challenges the government’s power arrogance.
Venugopal highlighted the impact of the issue on students nationwide, with many facing immense stress for months. He credited the youth’s perseverance and Rahul Gandhi’s support for pressuring the Centre to act. Despite facing forceful opposition, the students’ resilience prevailed, according to Venugopal.
Pinarayi Vijayan echoed similar sentiments, viewing Pradhan’s resignation as a hard-fought victory for students who resisted oppression. He criticized the government for defending a flawed examination system and urged for broader reforms beyond one minister’s resignation. Pinarayi advocated for a revamp of the National Testing Agency and continued opposition to the National Education Policy, emphasizing the need for a transparent and federalism-rooted education system.
