Telangana Jagruthi President K. Kavitha accused her cousin, former Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MP J. Santosh Rao, of being the primary informer and a crucial intelligence agent for Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Kavitha criticized Santosh for allegedly passing on all information about BRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) to Revanth Reddy, including details like what KCR eats.
She further alleged that Santosh Rao deliberately distanced KCR from Telangana movement activists and martyrs’ families. Kavitha also held Santosh responsible for incidents such as revolutionary balladeer Gaddar being kept waiting outside Pragathi Bhavan to meet KCR and former minister Eatala Rajender leaving the BRS.
Kavitha mentioned that she had previously referred to Santosh Rao as one of the “demons” surrounding KCR. After resigning from BRS and the Legislative Council, she announced the transformation of Telangana Jagruthi into a political party. Kavitha expressed these views while visiting an injured Excise constable at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Science in Hyderabad.
Kavitha criticized the government for failing to curb drug-related crimes, citing the recent attack on the Excise constable by a gang transporting ganja. She emphasized the prevalence of drugs in villages and schools, leading to women becoming primary victims. Kavitha urged the government to equip Excise and Forest Department staff with weapons to combat the drug mafia effectively.
