Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut recently took to Instagram to express her views on the treatment of filmmakers in the Indian film industry. She highlighted a disparity between Hollywood and Bollywood, noting that in Hollywood, filmmakers often hold significant stature compared to actors, unlike in Bollywood.
Ranaut emphasized that Indian filmmakers are undervalued, overworked, and underpaid for their contributions. She specifically praised director Aditya Dhar for the success of his recent film “Dhurandhar 2” in an Instagram Stories post, commending his achievements and talent.
While appreciating Dhar, Ranaut underscored the lack of recognition given to filmmakers in India and the prevalent trend where aspiring talents prioritize acting over other roles in the film industry. She lauded Dhar’s success and encouraged aspiring filmmakers to follow his path for the industry’s betterment.
Despite her acknowledgment of Dhar’s work, Ranaut did not mention the lead actor Ranveer Singh or any other cast member from “Dhurandhar 2.” Several other prominent figures in the entertainment industry, including Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR, have also praised Dhar for his directorial skills.
