Actress Kangana Ranaut celebrated her 20-year journey in the entertainment world by sharing her first portfolio shoot on Instagram. These initial photos played a crucial role in securing her debut movie, “Gangster.” Kangana reminisced about her two-decade milestone in the film industry, crediting her role as Simran in “Gangster” to this portfolio.
Marking the 20th anniversary of “Gangster,” Kangana also posted a picture from her first magazine shoot. The 2006 romantic thriller, directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films, starred Kangana, Emraan Hashmi, and Shiney Ahuja in key roles. The memorable music of “Gangster” was composed by Pritam and the cinematography was handled by Bobby Singh.
Following her successful debut, Kangana ventured into notable projects like “Woh Lamhe…” (2006), “Life in a… Metro” (2007), “Fashion” (2008), and “Raaz: The Mystery Continues” (2009). She received acclaim for her comedic skills in “Tanu Weds Manu” (2011) alongside R Madhavan, leading to consecutive National Film Awards for Best Actress for “Queen” (2014) and “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” (2015).
