Defending National Rally Champion Karna Kadur, along with co-driver Musa Sherif, took the top spot in the 2.1-km Super Special Stage at the Rally of Maharashtra. The event marked the final round of the FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) 2025, held at Nashik’s Grape County tarmac strip. Kadur showcased his skill with a swift and controlled performance, setting the pace for the competition.
The rally’s main challenge begins on Saturday, with participants facing two loops of three Special Stages each, covering a total of 71.64 km of technical tarmac. Jason Saldanha, the INRC2 championship leader, secured the second-fastest time overall, while Aditya Thakur and Virender Kashyap from Himachal Pradesh claimed the third spot in Triple-S.
Reigning champions Dean Mascarenhas and Gagan Karumbaiah opted for a cautious approach, finishing sixth overall and third in the premier INRC1 class. Saldanha and Murthy also dominated the INRC2 category, further solidifying their standing in the championship. Meanwhile, Vishakh Balachandran and Chiranth Jain maintained their lead in the INRC3 class after the Super Special Stage.
