Karnataka BJP state president B.Y. Vijayendra commended Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for aligning the budget with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. He highlighted the budget’s emphasis on enhancing productivity, fulfilling people’s aspirations, and promoting “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.” Various schemes were announced to boost sectors like industry, tourism, IT, and biotechnology, with a focus on doubling farmers’ income and empowering youth.
Vijayendra also noted the budget’s priority on women’s empowerment, its inclusivity, and comprehensive nature without introducing new taxes. He expressed optimism that the budget would contribute to India’s economic strength and global leadership in the future. The budget received positive feedback from various segments of society, including farmers, women, youth, and the underprivileged.
Former Chief Minister and BJP MP Basavaraj Bommai praised the budget’s alignment with the projected economic growth rate outlined in the Economic Survey. He highlighted the emphasis on infrastructure, industry, and special funds for small and medium industries. The budget also focuses on sectors like textiles, IT, biotechnology, and data centers, with imported medicines now duty-free. Bommai emphasized the budget’s objectives of economic growth, ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,’ and controlling inflation while ensuring growth.
Bommai further stated that the budget promotes inclusive development and benefits all sections of society.
