Karnataka BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra criticized the Congress government, highlighting the challenges Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar may face in managing party dynamics and leaders. Vijayendra expressed concerns that the cabinet composition reflects more of Siddaramaiah’s influence than Shivakumar’s leadership. He further mentioned the political hurdles left by Siddaramaiah, including issues related to backward classes.
Vijayendra also accused the Congress government of focusing on appeasement politics rather than development over the past three years. He emphasized the need for significant progress in the state and raised questions about the government’s ability to handle economic challenges in the coming years. Additionally, he pointed out the administrative and political obstacles Shivakumar may encounter in governing the state.
The BJP leader vowed to expose the government’s shortcomings and strengthen the party’s organization to aim for power in Karnataka. Addressing concerns about the Mekedatu project and allegations of commission politics, Vijayendra highlighted the need for effective resolution and accountability. He dismissed personal remarks made by certain political figures and affirmed his commitment to revitalizing the BJP in the state.
