Renowned Kathavachak Devkinandan Thakur expressed criticism towards Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan for his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), acquiring a Bangladeshi cricketer. Thakur stated that this move has upset Hindus across India, especially amidst reported mistreatment of minorities in Bangladesh.

Thakur highlighted the ongoing persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh, citing distressing incidents of violence against them. While acknowledging that religious leaders typically do not involve themselves in sports or entertainment matters, he questioned the decision to include a Bangladeshi player in the IPL given the current circumstances.

Expressing concern for Hindu sentiments, Thakur urged for the exclusion of Bangladeshi cricketers from the IPL roster. He emphasized that the earnings from such engagements should not contribute to the suffering of Hindu communities, calling for support from like-minded individuals to uphold these beliefs.

Thakur warned of continued protests if the demand to refrain from including players from countries mistreating Hindus was not met. He stressed the importance of standing in solidarity with fellow Hindus and not supporting actions that could harm the community, emphasizing the need for unity and loyalty.
