Laura Wolvaardt showcased exceptional form by scoring an unbeaten 92 off 56 balls, guiding South Africa Women to a 23-run win over India Women in the fifth T20I. Her partnership with Sune Luus, who contributed 23 runs, set the stage for South Africa’s victory in the series.
Despite a valiant effort from Bharti Fulmali, who scored 40 runs, India Women fell short, managing only 132 runs in pursuit of South Africa’s total. Wolvaardt’s impressive series performance accumulated 330 runs, the highest by any batter in a women’s T20I series.
