Madhya Pradesh is experiencing severe heatwave conditions, as per the India Meteorological Department’s bulletin. The state has seen a significant increase in temperatures, with Khajuraho recording the highest at 45.4 degrees Celsius. Other cities like Ratlam and Dhar also faced scorching temperatures.
The weather report highlighted stable maximum temperatures in the past 24 hours, with some areas above normal levels. Heatwave conditions have been observed in districts like Dhar, Ratlam, and Khajuraho, while Indore and Ujjain residents faced warm nights.
Looking ahead, warnings have been issued for continued heatwaves in districts such as Guna, Rajgarh, and Gwalior. Bhopal and nearby areas may experience partly cloudy skies with temperatures around 43 degrees Celsius. Isolated rainfall and hailstorms have been reported in some regions, emphasizing the need for precautions against the extreme weather.
Authorities recommend staying hydrated, avoiding direct sunlight from noon to 3 p.m., and implementing irrigation and mulching techniques to protect crops from the rising temperatures. With temperatures expected to increase further, the state remains vigilant about the worsening summer conditions.
