The weather in Madhya Pradesh has turned dramatic due to two troughs and an active cyclonic circulation. The Meteorological Department in Bhopal issued an alert for thunderstorms and rain in 13 districts. Residents are experiencing a mix of stormy weather and heat, with thunderstorms and strong winds expected in various districts like Narmadapuram and Betul.
Weather disturbances have already been observed in several parts of the state, with strong winds and light rainfall reported. Despite the stormy conditions, cities like Ratlam, Shajapur, and Ujjain are facing high temperatures, with Ratlam recording 43.5 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists note that the state has been witnessing unusual weather patterns since the beginning of May, attributing it to Western Disturbances, trough lines, and cyclonic systems.
The Meteorological Department forecasts that stormy and rainy conditions will persist until Saturday, followed by a sharp rise in temperatures. Daytime temperatures in most cities are expected to increase by three to four degrees Celsius from Sunday onwards. Authorities have cautioned people to be vigilant during adverse weather, advising them to avoid open spaces and trees during storms and lightning. Farmers have also been alerted about potential crop damage due to unseasonal rain and hailstorms.
