Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis highlighted the importance of yoga in preventing lifestyle-related diseases, especially with the rise in disease prevalence. He stressed the significance of regular yoga practice for maintaining good health.
Speaking at the 12th International Day of Yoga event near Juhu Beach, Fadnavis mentioned that consistent yoga practice enhances an individual’s ability to tackle challenges effectively. He urged the promotion and popularization of yoga as a science for overall well-being.
Fadnavis recalled India’s pivotal role in establishing the International Day of Yoga on June 21 at the United Nations, a resolution that garnered swift approval without opposition. He underlined the global recognition of yoga’s benefits for physical and mental health.
Highlighting the holistic approach of yoga, Fadnavis emphasized its role in connecting the body, mind, and soul, restoring harmony with nature. He noted that yoga not only improves physical health but also enhances mental resilience through the alignment of mind and nature elements.
Shivprakash, along with other dignitaries, also addressed the audience during the event. Fadnavis actively participated in various yoga asanas, joined by yoga instructors and a large number of citizens.
