Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde commended Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his work in eliminating Naxalism, especially in declaring Chhattisgarh’s Bastar as “Maoist-free.” Shah stated that Naxalism has been eradicated from Bastar and the entire country ahead of schedule. Shinde expressed gratitude towards Shah, emphasizing the significant progress in combating Naxalism.

Shinde highlighted the positive impact of Naxalism eradication, foreseeing development, employment opportunities, improved healthcare, and education in liberated areas. He credited the joint efforts of the state government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, in addressing Naxalism in Gadchiroli district. Shinde praised Shah’s dedication to fulfilling the pledge of a Naxalism-free India.

BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain echoed the sentiments, applauding Shah’s commitment to eliminating Naxalism within a set timeframe. Shah’s announcement of India’s liberation from Naxalism was well-received nationwide, marking a significant milestone in the fight against insurgency.
