A significant case of examination malpractice and question paper leaks related to two crucial recruitment exams conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) in 2026 has been revealed. The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. The exams under scrutiny are the Assistant Education Development Officer (ASDO) Competitive Examination and the Assistant Public Sanitation and Waste Management Officer Examination.
The EOU, Patna, has taken charge of the investigation due to the seriousness of the allegations. EOU DIG Manavjit Singh Dhillon announced that a total of 37 individuals have been arrested and placed in judicial custody. Among the arrested, 35 are implicated in five cases related to the ASDO examination, while two are involved in a case concerning the Assistant Public Sanitation and Waste Management Officer Examination.
The investigation has exposed the alleged involvement of officials and employees of M/s Sai Educare Private Limited, a company from Jaipur hired by the Commission for biometric verification during the exams. Several key officials from the company, including district coordinators and supervisors, have been arrested in connection with the malpractice. The accused are said to have breached contractual norms and examination protocols.
