A significant security operation took place in Bihar’s Sitamarhi district following the apprehension of two young individuals on suspicion of engaging in anti-national activities and alleged ties to a Pakistan-based criminal network. The arrests occurred in Takaur village under the jurisdiction of the Gadha police station. The detainees, identified as Md. Akhlaq and Md. Arman, are believed to have communicated via social media with a group known as the “Rana Bhai Group,” purportedly operating from Pakistan.
The police have indicated that initial inquiries suggest the duo was in contact with individuals linked to the network and were reportedly engaged in scouting sensitive and strategic locations within India, sharing the details of these sites through online platforms. Authorities are investigating claims that the accused were involved in plotting activities that posed a threat to national security. Additionally, law enforcement officials alleged that the suspects were planning to travel to Delhi subsequent to their intended actions.
In response to intelligence inputs, a police team conducted a raid in Takaur village, cordoning off the area and apprehending both suspects before any purported plans could be carried out. Three mobile phones were seized from the individuals during the operation. These devices are said to contain suspicious contact information, chat logs, and digital content related to sensitive locations, which are currently undergoing forensic examination. National intelligence agencies have joined the investigation in collaboration with the Sitamarhi police to analyze the recovered data and ascertain potential associates or broader networks possibly involved.
