PM Modi surpassed the record of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru by serving 4,399 days as an elected Prime Minister. Nehru’s tenure from 1952 was the benchmark for comparison, considering his leadership after India’s independence. PM Modi’s continuous service distinguishes him as the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history, starting from 2014 through subsequent electoral victories in 2019 and 2024.
