In Jodhpur’s Paota District Hospital, eight women fell ill, with two in critical condition after caesarean deliveries on June 20. One patient faced kidney complications due to excessive bleeding, while another suffered kidney and liver damage with urinary issues, requiring dialysis. Several other women from the same day’s surgeries are suspected of septicemia, with one experiencing heavy bleeding and kidney problems.
At the Paota Hospital, Dr. Kulbir Singh reported the incidents to the Medical College administration. Blood samples and culture tests are ongoing, and all patients are under close medical observation. Meanwhile, in Bikaner, a second woman died due to kidney failure post-childbirth, raising concerns about hospital management and patient care.
The incidents have prompted investigations into the causes of these health complications, with health authorities closely monitoring the situation and the gradual improvement of two women with kidney issues.
