Mayawati called for a smooth functioning of the upcoming Parliament session, emphasizing the necessity of running it efficiently in the country’s best interest. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju also weighed in on the matter, labeling the controversy surrounding the venue change for the 9th International Santal Conference and the challenges faced by President Droupadi Murmu as regrettable not only for West Bengal but for the entire nation. Rijiju condemned the last-minute alteration of the conference venue and expressed dismay over the treatment meted out to President Murmu, emphasizing the significance of upholding tribal pride and the sanctity of constitutional positions.
