Meghalaya BJP MLA A.L. Hek praised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government for driving development initiatives in the state. Hek highlighted the consistent financial support and visits by Union Ministers to boost growth in key sectors. He emphasized the need for the state government to effectively implement the development packages sanctioned by the Centre.

Hek expressed gratitude to PM Modi for sending Union Ministers and development packages to Meghalaya, urging the state government to ensure the schemes benefit the people. He clarified that despite claims by the ruling NPP, the credit for these schemes belongs to the leadership of PM Modi and the BJP-led NDA government. Hek stressed the importance of proper execution of projects by the respective state departments once funds are allocated.

The BJP leader affirmed the Centre’s commitment to Meghalaya’s overall progress and mentioned ongoing efforts to secure more assistance for the state, particularly in tourism, sports, and healthcare. He dismissed any connection between the development initiatives and upcoming elections, emphasizing that development should be a continuous, non-political process. Hek expressed optimism about the Centre’s positive response to their requests for further support.
