Hollywood actress Millie Bobby Brown shared that her bridal gown in ‘Enola Holmes 3’ was inspired by her real wedding dress. The 22-year-old actress, who had a secret wedding with Jake Bongiovi in May 2024 before their public celebration later that year, collaborated with the film’s costume designer for her character’s wedding outfit. Millie mentioned that she drew inspiration from her own wedding dress while designing the look for the movie.
For the early scenes where her character is getting married to Lord Tewkesbury, Millie worked closely with the costume designer to create the perfect wedding attire. She also influenced the bridal hairstyle for her character, opting for two braids to symbolize both herself and Tewkesbury. However, replicating the hairstyle with a wig proved challenging, as the weight of the bun and braids made it difficult to keep the wig in place.
In the film, while the first wedding dress was inspired by Millie’s personal gown, she fell in love with the simplicity of the second gown she wore for the second wedding scene. Millie liked it so much that she managed to take it home for her own wardrobe, despite some initial objections. Her husband, Jake, who is also a producer on the movie, was surprised by her decision but eventually had to keep her secret about taking the dress home.
During a Netflix event, Jake praised Millie’s final wedding dress in the movie, acknowledging its beauty and the effort put into its creation. Millie was adamant about keeping the dress, expressing her admiration for the craftsmanship and detailing of the gown. She insisted that she would even wear it for any special occasion due to the love and care that went into making it.
