Gobardhan Das, the new NITI Aayog member, has laid out an ambitious plan for national progress and regional rejuvenation, aiming to achieve PM Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. Das expressed gratitude to PM Modi for the opportunity, highlighting his commitment to advancing various sectors for the nation’s benefit. He particularly emphasized the need to uplift West Bengal, drawing inspiration from its rich cultural heritage and the imperative to address issues like education and healthcare.

Das underscored the significance of restoring West Bengal’s former glory as ‘Sonar Bangla,’ acknowledging the challenges faced by its residents due to inadequate services, leading to outmigration. He stressed the role of NITI Aayog in bridging these developmental gaps and promoting inclusive growth. Additionally, Das emphasized the core principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ for India’s holistic progress, citing the country’s successful response to the Covid-19 crisis through indigenous vaccine development.

As a NITI Aayog member, Das aims to revitalize the industrial and manufacturing sectors to boost local employment opportunities and ensure comprehensive societal well-being. His vision extends beyond mere economic growth, focusing on a transformative journey that prioritizes the welfare and security of all citizens. By fostering collaborative efforts and inclusive policies, Das believes in achieving a self-reliant, prosperous India where regional strengths contribute to a unified national identity.
