Initiating prosecution in the Neemrana hotel firing case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed chargesheets against two main shooters linked to Khalistani terrorist Arsh Dalla. The accused, Puneet and Narinder Lalli, face charges under various laws including the Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
The shooters from Punjab were involved in the actual firing at Highway King Hotel, Neemrana, and in extortion attempts against the owners. The NIA stated that these individuals were part of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) led by Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala and the Bambiah gang.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Puneet and Narinder used prohibited weapons in the attack and issued threats on behalf of the syndicate. They received support from the syndicate in the form of funds, shelter, and weapons to advance KTF’s objectives.
More than 30 gunshots were fired at Hotel Highway King in Neemrana on September 8, 2024, with the aim of creating fear among residents and tourists. The NIA, after taking over the case, seized electronic devices and incriminating materials during raids on the accused and suspects’ premises.
Arsh Dalla’s associates have been involved in violent extortion activities to raise funds for banned Khalistani outfits, according to the investigative agency.
