Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, emphasized the importance of upholding integrity and professionalism to the officer trainees of the Indian Corporate Law Service. She urged them to promote transparent governance, facilitate Ease of Doing Business, and contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. The officer trainees, with diverse academic backgrounds, are currently undergoing training across various government departments in Delhi-NCR.
Finance Minister Sitharaman also called upon banks to enhance their engagement with the NRI community and introduce innovative deposit products. Public sector banks and financial institutions reported a positive response from NRIs to the recent initiatives offering higher interest rates. India’s economy, despite challenges like the West Asia crisis, has maintained strong growth, supported by free trade agreements and robust domestic consumption, as highlighted by FM Sitharaman in a recent interview with a French newspaper.
