The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) organized protests in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh regarding the alleged NEET paper leak, urging the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and a ban on the National Testing Agency (NTA). NSUI members expressed concerns over the impact of repeated paper leaks on students, emphasizing the need for accountability and transparency in competitive examinations. They highlighted the distress faced by students and parents due to the irregularities in the examination process.
Protestors demanded strict action against the recurring paper leak incidents, stating that such malpractices undermine the efforts of students who dedicate significant time and resources to exam preparation. They criticized the government for its perceived inaction in addressing the issue and questioned the effectiveness of the current examination system. The protestors stressed the importance of maintaining the integrity of examinations to uphold the credibility of the education system.
In Uttar Pradesh’s Basti, NSUI activists conducted a symbolic protest by distributing jhalmuri to draw attention to the NEET paper leak and rising concerns about youth unemployment. The protestors expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s handling of the situation and criticized its approach towards addressing unemployment issues among the youth.
