The National Testing Agency (NTA) has dismissed allegations made by several NEET (UG) 2026 candidates concerning their OMR answer sheets and results. NTA clarified that the images shared on social media were digitally altered and did not match official records. The agency verified the scores of candidates like Avaneesh Srivastava, Abhay Yadav, Lakshya Singh, and Arya Singh, confirming the accuracy of the declared scores.
Referring to Avaneesh Srivastava, NTA stated that the candidate’s genuine OMR was on file and had been shared during the challenge window. The agency emphasized that the circulated image did not correspond to any registered NEET (UG) 2026 candidate. The original OMR contained the candidate’s correct details and signatures.
In response to claims by Abhay Yadav, NTA rejected the assertion that only five questions were unanswered, clarifying that 44 questions were left unattempted. The agency confirmed the accuracy of Abhay Yadav’s score of 164 marks. Similarly, for Lakshya Singh, NTA stated that the circulated OMR sheet was digitally manipulated, with additional markings added digitally.
NTA also addressed allegations by Arya Singh, highlighting that the circulated OMR image had been altered. The agency pointed out various digital alterations on the forged OMR sheet. NTA verified Arya Singh’s score of 167 marks. The agency emphasized that the genuine OMR of every candidate was on record and warned against creating or circulating forged documents.
