Following the surrender of 19 Maoists, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi hailed the state’s progress in combating Left Wing Extremism and aiming for a Naxal-free India. The surrendered Maoists, including two State Committee members, renounced violence in Rayagada and Kandhamal districts. The successful operations led to the recovery of 14 weapons, highlighting the significant achievement.

CM Majhi commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for their leadership in the fight against terrorism. He emphasized the government’s commitment to eradicating Maoist violence from Odisha by March 31, offering support and rehabilitation to those who choose peace. The state’s focus on peace, development, and law underscores its vision for a prosperous future.
