Akshay Bhatia’s position dropped to tied 26th in the PGA Tour’s Cadillac Championship due to a costly double bogey on the final hole. Meanwhile, Sudarshan Yellamaraju, despite a strong start, settled for tied 16th after late setbacks. Sahith Theegala faced challenges, finishing tied for 48th with a 76, managing only one birdie amidst multiple setbacks.

Yellamaraju, initially in good form, reached 9-under through 16 holes but faltered with a three-shot drop in the final two holes, ending the day at 4-under overall. Cameron Young maintained his lead with a 5-under 67, reaching 13-under for a five-shot lead going into the weekend at Trump National Doral’s Signature Event. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, despite a bogey-free 67, remained seven shots behind in tied sixth.

Nick Taylor, Alex Smalley, and Jordan Spieth were tied for second, while Gary Woodland sat alone in fifth at 7-under. Spieth stood out with a birdie on the challenging 18th hole, one of the few recorded in the first two rounds on the Blue Monster course.
