Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the 11th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog, emphasized the collaboration between the Centre and states to boost India’s growth for achieving a developed nation status by 2047. The meeting’s theme, ‘Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047,’ underscores the focus on the well-being and progress of all Indians, irrespective of demographics or socio-economic status.
The discussions at the meeting revolve around strategies to actualize this vision and translate it into tangible outcomes benefiting every citizen nationwide. Key areas of focus include foundational human capital, employment generation, health and well-being, and ensuring equity and dignity for all segments of society.
The meeting, attended by chief ministers, Lt Governors, and union ministers, aims to address critical aspects such as promoting entrepreneurship, enhancing skills, and creating sustainable job opportunities across the country. Additionally, there is a concerted effort to formulate an implementation roadmap that utilizes governance, digital infrastructure, partnerships, and data-driven systems to monitor and ensure the impact of developmental initiatives.
Furthermore, the Governing Council will deliberate on aligning state objectives with the National Vision on Inclusive Human Development, fostering a unified and cooperative approach towards balanced and sustainable progress. The recommendations from the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries, held in 2025, will also be discussed, focusing on themes like early childhood education, skilling, higher education, and extracurricular activities.
