Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to the nation on the sixth day of Chaitra Navratri dedicated to Goddess Katyayani. He expressed reverence to Maa Katyayani, wishing her devotees strength and self-confidence. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also conveyed his wishes on the occasion, emphasizing the significance of Goddess Durga as the remover of fears and sorrows.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the auspiciousness of venerating Maa Katyayani on the sixth day of Shakti worship. She praised the form of Mahishasura Mardini for symbolizing the triumph of righteousness over unrighteousness. Goddess Katyayani, known for slaying the demon Mahishasura, is revered as the sixth among the Navadurgas, the nine forms of Goddess Durga worshipped during Navratri.

Goddess Katyayani, a fierce aspect of Mahadevi, is depicted with three eyes and four hands, riding a lion and adorned with a crescent moon. Navratri, a Hindu festival celebrating Goddess Durga and her nine avatars, is observed with great devotion across India. The festival involves rituals and prayers honoring the Goddess in her nine forms.
