Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting, stressed the importance of empowering India’s youth, labeling them as the driving force behind the nation’s progress towards Viksit Bharat. He highlighted the need for a conducive environment for youth, focusing on quality education, skill development, and job opportunities to harness India’s demographic dividend effectively.
PM Modi also mentioned India’s Free Trade Agreements with various countries, aiming to open up avenues for growth and exports. He noted that these agreements offer significant prospects for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to expand globally by meeting international standards and enhancing competitiveness.
Underlining the collaborative efforts between the Centre and states, the Prime Minister expressed the commitment to expedite India’s growth trajectory towards achieving a developed nation status by 2047. He emphasized the importance of cooperative federalism in driving India’s development journey and realizing the shared vision of Viksit Bharat.
The NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting this year focuses on ‘Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047,’ with an emphasis on the well-being and progress of all Indians, irrespective of age, region, gender, or socio-economic status.
