Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Sardar Dham Bhavan-3 in Vadodara, a facility worth Rs 150 crore. This marks an expansion of the Sardar Dham complex, focusing on providing residential and academic support to students, especially those preparing for competitive exams.
The Bhavan-3 is the latest addition to the Sardar Dham infrastructure network in Gujarat. Additionally, during the same event, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the Dharamshi Harji Mordiya Girls Chhatralaya Phase-2. This project aims to enhance hostel facilities for female students, increasing residential capacity to support girls pursuing higher education and competitive exams.
Furthermore, the event included the launch of the ‘Sardar Dham Education Support Yojana’, a Rs 500 crore initiative. This scheme is designed to provide financial assistance, training, and mentoring support to students, particularly those from modest backgrounds preparing for professional courses and public service exams.
The Sardar Dham initiative, inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s legacy, focuses on integrated residential and educational facilities. The Vadodara complex includes hostel accommodation, digital learning infrastructure, libraries, counseling facilities, and coaching support for competitive exams. The newly inaugurated Bhavan-3 is a large-scale facility supporting thousands of students for long-term exam preparation.
The program in Vadodara signifies the ongoing expansion efforts under the Sardar Dham framework, combining educational infrastructure development with community-based support for student progress.
