Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Noida International Airport at Jewar, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, a significant development for India’s aviation sector. He will visit Jewar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, at around 11:30 a.m. to inspect the terminal building before the official launch at noon, where he will also address the public about the project’s importance and future plans.
PM Modi recently shared images of the airport, emphasizing its role in enhancing regional connectivity. The first phase of the airport is ready for operation, with all arrangements in place for the grand inauguration event on Saturday. Security measures have been intensified in the region, with the area divided into security zones and a strong presence of police and paramilitary forces to ensure safety.
Authorities have implemented a traffic management plan due to the expected large turnout, restricting the movement of goods vehicles on the Yamuna Expressway and Noida Expressway from 7 a.m. for about 16 hours. Heavy vehicles will be rerouted to ease VIP movement and minimize disruptions for the public. Commuters are advised to follow traffic advisories and avoid unnecessary travel during this period.
